Ans. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a powerful statistical tool for test of significance. The test of significance based on t distribution, an adequate procedure for testing significance of the difference between two sample means. In a situation when we have three or more samples at time, an alternative procedure is used for testing the hypothesis that homogeneity of several independent sample means. Such type of analysis is based on F test. This procedure is known as ANOVA.
