A sample of n = 4 scores is obtained from a population with mu=70 and sigma=8 8. If the sample mean corresponds to a z score of 2.00, then what is the value of the sample mean?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Solution,

Given that,

mean = = 70

standard deviation = = 8

n = 4

=   = 70

= / n = 8/ 4 = 4

z = 2.00

Using z-score formula

= z * +

= 2.00 *4 + 70

= 78
