2.Yes, it can get eaten sometimes known as “lost to follow up”. We usually get missing data in these condition.

3.It is still okay that instead of counting the number of brown M&Ms, if the student had weighed them. This is because for the both continuous and binary variable, the confidence intervals would apply equally.
