The lie factor of a graph is .25.  This indicates the graph: (only 1)

  • (a) over-represents the change in the data by .25
  • (b) under-represents the change in the data by .75
  • (c) under-represents the change in the data by a factor of 4

Explain how you got it in details please. Trying to understand it.

Answer #1

solution ,

The the lie factor describes the relation between the size of effect shown in a graphic and the size of effect shown in the data

Lie factor =size of effect shown in graphic /size of effecty in data

where the size of data is the proportion of ( second value -first value ) and first value

and also its lie factor should have a value between .95 and 1.05.if the value is less or greater it indicates a substantial distortion due to minor inacuuries.

also if the value is less than 1 the graphic is understating so the conclusion is if lie factir is equal to 1 means it has detetction no misrepresntation and in the ques the lie factor of a graph is .25 this indicates the graph under represents the change in data bt .75 and option (b) is right .......... thanks

In a complicated production process, 1/4 of the items produced have to be readjusted. Use the normal curve to estimate the probability that out of a batch of 75 items, between 8 and 22 (inclusive) of the items require readjustment. Can you please explain how you got the answer and why? it will be nice if i see it explained so i can understand the answer. thanks so much.

1 a.) Suppose that only 25% of all drivers come to a complete stop at an intersection having flashing red lights in all directions when no other cars are visible. What is the probability that, of 15 randomly chosen drivers coming to an intersection under these conditions, exactly 3 will come to a complete stop? answer.225 1. b) Now suppose that only 20% of all drivers come to a complete stop at an intersection having flashing red lights in all...

Vang Enterprises, which is debt-free and finances only with equity from retained earnings, is considering 7 equal-sized capital budgeting projects. Its CFO hired you to assist in deciding whether none, some, or all of the projects should be accepted. You have the following information: rRF = 4.50%; RPM = 5.50%; and b = 0.98. The company adds or subtracts a specified percentage to the corporate WACC when it evaluates projects that have above- or below-average risk. Data on the 7...
