The difference between factorial ANOVA and repeated measures ANOVA is that in latter, the within-groups variability is partitioned into subject variability and error variability .

Question 15 options:

a) True
b) False

Answer #1

A) True.

A factorial ANOVA is an Analysis of Variance test with more than one independent variables, or “factor“. It can also refer to more than one Level of Independent Variable

repeated measures ANOVA is almost the same as one-way ANOVA, with one main difference: you test related groups, not independent ones. It’s called repeated measures because the same group of participants is being measured over and over again.

Hence within- group variability is partitioned into subject variability and error variability in repeated measure anova.

Is there any difference between a Factorial ANOVA and a One-Way ANOVA? Yes, a Factorial ANOVA has 2+ IVs, whereas a One-Way ANOVA has only 1 IV. Yes, the main purpose of a Factorial ANOVA is to test if two or more groups are significantly different from each other, whereas a One-Way ANOVA compares means across two or more independent variables. No, both tests are the same. Yes, Factorial ANOVA results in the calculation of three F ratios, whereas two...
