A group of sociologists sent you an email that has a data file attached. They want you to analyze the data. However, they do not want you to make nor inflate any type of errors. What would you explain to them?
If the data file has some errors then the analysis will automatically result in errors, it is a fact and if suppose the data do not have any errors then the errors will be introduced during analysis because in Statistical Analysis we always give some space to errors as there will be due to random chances. The errors will depend on the objective of the analysis. We always try to make the minimum errors but it is not possible to completely avoid them because most of the times the analysis of data is based on some assumptions and these assumptions may not be 100% true all the time, even it is very rarely seen that these assumptions hold true.
