standard deviation = = 0.9

margin of error = E = 0.07

At 80% confidence level the z is ,

= 1 - 80% = 1 - 0.80 = 0.20

/ 2 = 0.20 / 2 = 0.10

Z/2 = Z 0.10 = 1.280

Sample size = n = ((Z/2 * ) / E)2

= ((1.280 * 0.9) / 0.07)2

= 271

Sample size = 271
