Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans:

1)Range=maximum-minimum

Range for college A=140-101=39

Range for college B=145-99=46

So,college B has greater range of IQ scores.

2)For college A,median=115,so 50% of students have IQs of 115 or higher.

For college B,median=120 i.e. 115 is lower than median,so it means that more than 50% of the students have IQs of 115 or higher.

So,college A has the smaller percentage of students with IQs of 115 or higher.

3)College B has the greater percentage of students with IQs of 110 or higher(as m)edian,Q3 are higher for college B)
