SOLUTION:

GIVEN DATA

9, 8, 7, 8, 5, 9, 6, 7, 8, 9, 6, 5, 6, 7, 5, 4.

1st arrange data lowest to highest

4,5,5,5,6,6,6,7,7,7,8,8,8,9,9,9

The median is a measure of central tendency. It represents the value for which 50% of observations a lower and 50% are higher. Put simply, it is the value at the center of the sorted observations.

median=When the number of observations is even the formula is:

=(18/2+18/2+1)/2=(8+10)/2=18/2=9th=7

median =7(middle most obsevation of the given data)
