The use of the random sampling handles which type of bias

The use of the random sampling handles which type of bias

Homework Answers

Answer #1

If random sampling is done, you can eliminate survey/selection bias due to undercoverage.

A random sample gives a representative sample of a population, if sufficiently large sample size is used, eliminating the possibility of non representing any particular section or strata of the population. A unit will have probability of being in sample, proportional to the actual proportion of similar units in the entire population and hence, we obtain a representative sample if random sampling is used.
