Soln

Here we should use co relation coefficient , and we can perform linear regression analysis as technique to setup a relation between person's IQ with their mother's IQ.

Here we can use scatter plot also for showing the relation between

Person's IQ to their mother's IQ.Mother's IQ can be plotted on x-axis and person's IQ on y - axis. As we can setup a relation that IQ of person's increases as their mother's IQ increases and vice versa.

By doing this analysis we can setup a equation which will clearly show the IQ relationship between person and their mother.

Suppose you are given data from a survey showing the IQ of each person interviewed and the IQ of his or her mother. That is all the information that you have. Your boss has asked you to put together a report showing the relationship between these two variables. I SUGGESTED A SCATTER PLOT OR A LINEAR ANALYSIS. Do you think using two would be a good baseline? What if they don't correlate well?

For each person you need to indicate what the outcomes (rewards) are. You are NOT to put what they do to get the outcomes, those things go in the Inputs cell. In the Left column you have the person who is doing the “equity” comparison and the right column it is the person with whom they are comparing himself/herself. You need to be sure that you are putting yourself in the place of the person in the left hand column....

1.) Data were collected from a survey given to graduating college seniors on the number of times they had changed majors. From that data, a probability distribution was constructed. The random variable X is defined as the number of times a graduating senior changed majors. It is shown below: xx 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 P(X=x)P(X=x) 0.265 0.223 0.22 0.153 0.083 0.038 0.014 0.003 0.001 What is the probability that a randomly selected student changed his...

Suppose you have been contacted by a reporter from the local newspaper who came across data showing that men tend to be sentenced more harshly than women. The reporter believes this to be a clear case of discrimination and asks you for comment. What is your response? Do you agree that gender discrimination has been demonstrated here, or do you need more information? If the latter, what additional data would you need before you could arrive at a conclusion? These...

Close Friends: The 2004 General Social Survey (GSS) interviewed a random sample of adult Americans. For one question the interviewer asked: “From time to time, most people discuss important matters with other people. Looking back over the last six months – who are the people with whom you discussed matters important to you? Just tell me their first names or initials.” The interviewer then recorded how many names or initials the respondent mentioned. Results are tallied in the following table:...
