So here is an example where test of hypothesis with three or more population mean could be used.

Consider the final exam scores of 10th standard students of 5 different schools.

We want to test whether on an average the final exam score of all these 5 schools is same or different.

So, here the population is 5 difference schools and we will sample some students from each school and note down their final year scores and check the claim whether or not the final exam marks for all these 5 schools same or not.

Let denote the mean of final exam score of school 1,school 2,school 3,school 4,school 5 respectively.  

So the hypothesis would be

Hence here we are testing 5 population means.
