Let P be the number of adults ate pizza

Let F be the number of adults hang out with friends.

From the given information, we can draw the following Venn diagram :

Total surveyed adults = 512

We are asked to find the shaded region in the Venn diagram that represent number of adults only ate pizza last Friday night

Therefore number of adults only ate pizza last Friday night = 512-72-52-69-30-30-48- 27 = 184

184 adults only ate pizza last Friday night.
