Answer: From given data combine all data for tail and short students and arranging them into descending order as below table. The ranks are assigned first without ties as below table.

For tied values, group all the tied observations and assign the avg rank to all tied values in that group.

let suppose, the score of 22 has 4 repetitions with rank of 1,2,3,4.

The avg rank of these ranks = (1+2+3+4) / 4 = 2.5.

So for all the tied values of 22 we will assign them a rank of 2.5. Like that we do all tied values as follows

from problem wilt has a score of 18.

By using the above table for a score of 18, the avg rank is 12.

So the wilt score = 12.

So, the answer is Option-B
