A person’s left allele is chosen uniformly at random from his mother’s two alleles and his right allele is chosen uniformly at random from the father’s two alleles. A black-eyed woman has black-eyed parents, both of whom are Bg. She and a green-eyed man have a child. Given that the child has black eyes, what is the chance that the woman has a g allele?
