To draw the trend line equation for given data using excel follow the given steps below:

(i) First enter given values of X and Y in two separate columns.

(ii) Select both these columns and click on Insert. Choose option of Scatter plot. The graph appears.

(iii) Select any point on graph and right click on it. Choose option Add Trendline.

(iv) In Trendline options choose Linear. Check out the box of Display Equation on chart and click close.

Using this we get scatter plot with trendline equation,

y = 6.179 + (-0.062)x
