The above likert scale doesn't measure all the cases when the respondent carried the weapon for more than 5 days to school. Also, a likert scale measures the attitudes from one extreme attitude to other and typically has a neutral point. In this case, numerical variable "days" is used. We can fix the likert scale in the following manner:

Response Choices: Never -- Rarely -- Occasionally -- Frequently -- Very Frequently
