Three different modalities were tested for delivering a newly-developed product training course at YU Limited. The Company selected 21 sales associates and randomly assigned them to one of the three modalities for training. The file BUSI 1013 ANOVA.xlsx contains results of a product knowledge test at the end of the training. Use this data for a statistical test to see whether the three modalities are not equally effective in that the mean score of the product knowledge test are not the same for the three modalities. Use 0.05 as the level of significance

Null hypothesis

vs

Alternative hypothesis

H1: Not all three means are equal.

P value is 0.0815 > 0.05

Therefore, we fail to reject H0.

We do not have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the population means are all equal.

A company wished to study the effects of four training programs on the sales abilities of their sales personnel. Thirty-two people were randomly divided into four groups of equal size, and each group was then subjected to one of the different sales training programs. Because there were some dropouts during the training programs due to illness, vacations, and so on, the number of trainees completing the programs varied from group to group. At the end of the training programs, each...

Since we are attempting to examine the behavior of a class of students, the behavior of an individual (as we calculated in objective 1) is really of little concern to us. Assuming that there are 30 students enrolled for a typical class, use the central limit theorem to calculate the following:    •   What would be the shape of the distribution of the average class grade of these 30 students?    •   What would be the average class average of...

A college administrator is interested in knowing whether a 3-week math mini-course affects a student's grade. Twenty students are randomly selected and given a math test. These students then attend the mini-course and are retested. Assume the paired data come from a normal population for which the mean difference is 0 Compute the value of the t-test statistic and p-value for the paired data. At the 1% significance level, determine whether the mini-course actually improves a student's score. Pre-course 68...
