Answer #1

Concept & formula

Crude birth rate is defined as the number of live birth per 1000 people in a population.

Numerically,  crude birth rate (CBR) is equal to the number of live births (b) in a year divided by the total midyear population (p), with the ratio multiplied by 1,000.

Calculation

Here, b = number of live birth per year = 1130

and p = mid year population = 49,250

So, CBR = (1130 / 49,250 ) × 1000

= 22.944

= 22.95 live births per 1000 people in a year

So, the crude birth rate for Pinehill County during 2014 is 22.95
