1)here  probability that he will get caught no later than on his third job =P(X<=3) =1-P(did nt get caught on first 3 jobs)

=1-(1-0.24)3 =0.561

2) variance is (1-p)/p2 =(1-0.24)/0.242 =13.194

mean =1/p =1/0.24 =4.167
