I have created a box plot chart to show BMI (body mass index) by frame (small, medium, large). I would like to add gender to this chart, but don't know how to add this other aspect. As it is now, men and women are grouped together under body frame.

The proper information about the data seems missing based on your wordings. If you have created boxplot of BMI by frame then there will be three boxplots for small, medium, and large frames. If you have created only one box plot then please post it here with the data.

One boxplot can be only created for one variable only so adding more variables to the boxplot does not make sense.

There can be three boxplots for men and three for women representing small, medium, and large frames. Only this is the way to include frame and gender both in the boxplot.

Note: Please share the data and exact question with the data set.
