Give a concrete example of a research problem in which you would use Correlation and Regression Method, and indicate whether you expect that the correlation would be negative or positive.

What varieties of Interpretive Research do you know? Give an example.

Answer #1

Research problem:

To study the relation between age and death due to covid19.

We can use the correlation or regression method to study the effect of age on chances of death due to covid19.

Here we can expect the positive correlation between the age of patient and chanses of death.

Since more the age is patient is likely to occur death

The above research problem is also an interpretive research because we are studying the actual relation of age with death due to covid19. We are studying the condition at root level and study will clear the misunderstandings among the people about actual relation of age and chances of death due to covid19.

Give a plausible example of a three-variable research problem in which partial correlation would be a useful analysis. Define X1, X2, and Y. Make sure that you indicate which of your three variables is the "controlled for" variable ( X2). What results might you expect to obtain for this partial correlation, and how would you interpret your results (e.g., spurious correlation, mediation, moderation, and so on)?

Give an example of a problem dealing with two possibly related variables (Y and X) for which a linear regression model would not be appropriate. For example, the relationship could be curved instead of linear, or there may be no significant correlation at all. What is the impact of using a linear regression model in this case? What options, other than linear regression, can you see? You do not need to collect any data. PLEASE DONT COPY ANSWERS THAT ARE...
