The standard error is the estimated standard deviation or measure of variability in the sampling distribution of a statistic or simply we can say It is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution of the mean.
The formula for the standard error of the mean is:-
where σ is the standard deviation of the Population, and N is the sample size.
Now from the above formulla, we can absorve that the larger the sample size, the smaller the standard error of the mean. i,e if we increase the samle size the value of standard error will decrease.
