I have a hypothesis with a strong theoretical rationale, about three attachment types: secure, ambivalent, and avoidant. I hypothesize that Avoidants will react least strongly to a sad scene in a movie, and Ambivalents most strongly to that scene. (a) Is this an experiment or a correlational study? (b) What statistical procedure do I use? (c) does the overall (omnibus) F test need to be significant for me to support my hypothesis?
