there are three correlations provided below. please read the information for each, and make comparisons among them describe the association (positive, negative,no association) and also tell us which sets are most positive, or most negative and which of the sets is statistically significant from a correlation perspective.

Correlation A. Pearson Correlation of .380 with 26 pairs of (x,y)

Correlation B. Pearson Correlation of -.813 with 6 sets of (x,y)

Correlation C Pearson Correlation of .431 with 16 sets of (x.y)

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Correlation A: The Pearson correlation with 0.380 is a positive correlation among the x,y but with a weak correlation between them, the p-value with the same is computed using software or excel tool as :

P-value= 0.0555

Correlation B: The Pearson correlation with -0.813 is a Negative correlation among the x,y but with a strong correlation between them, the p-value with the same is computed using P-value table shown below as :

P-value= 0.0492

Correlation B: The Pearson correlation with 0.431 is a positive correlation among the x,y but also with a weak correlation between them, the p-value with the same is computed using P-value table shown below as :

P-value= 0.0956

When we compare the P-values we get that Correlation B is more significant.
