Please describe the advantages, and disadvantages of one-way ANOVA, ANOVA with Blocking, and factorial ANOVA.
One-way ANOVA:
Advantage: It introduces a single independent variable only.
Disadvantage: Relatively inefficient creating larger estimates of the within-group variance.
ANOVA with Blocking:
Advantage: Randomized blocks design in reducing experimental error since the subject is his/her own control in repeated measures design.
Disadvantage: Information can't be obtained about interactions.
Factorial ANOVA:
Advantage: It allows us to test several hypotheses simultaneously.
Disadvantage: Difficult to experiment with more than two factors or many levels if there is an error in one of the levels within, it can jeopardize a great amount of work.
