Each blood sample is analyzed and, for each sample, the average number of white blood cells per milliliter of blood is computed by a laboratory device.

(a) Is his data single variable or does it have an independent and dependent variables?

(b) Will he use a hypothesis test or confidence interval to answer the research question?

(c) Write out the formula that is the most appropriate for him to use.
