  1. Write up your report based on the t-test finding using the appropriate template below (depending on your t-test finding – you should choose the appropriate template below): (4 points)
  1. Use this template if your result is Significant

There was a significant difference in the levels of intention to purchase Mochamania versus Iceemania, t(39) = 5.43, p < .001 [plug in appropriate numbers from your test result], with Mochamania (mean = xxx, S.D. = yyy) receiving a higher level of purchase intention than Iceemania (mean = xxx, S.D. = yyy).

  1. Use this template if your result is NOT Significant.

There was no significant difference in the levels of intention to purchase Mochamania (mean = xxx, S.D. = yyy) versus Iceemania (mean = xxx, S.D. = yyy), t(39) = .089, p = .88 [plug in appropriate numbers from your test result].

Answer #1

Paired sample test compares the mean of two dependent samples.According to the t test the results are not significant as the p value is 1>.001.So the result is insignificant at 0.1% significance level. Hence the conclusion based on the paired sample test would be

"There was no significant difference in the levels of intention to purchase Mochamania (mean = 4.15, S.D. =2.949) versus Iceemania (mean = 4.15, S.D. =1.122), t(39) = 0, p = 1."

A correlation test was also performed for the samples.

The pvalue(0.004)>0.001. Hence the result is again not significant at 0.1% significance level. But it is significant for 1% significance level. So at 1% we can conclude that there exist a negative correlation between the variables.
