Justin and Amanda took a Sociology of the Family class and learned that men and women have different views on a range of family issues. They wonder if men’s and women’s views on when one should get married are different as well. To investigate this possibility, they obtain a random sample of 25 single men and a random sample of 26 single women and ask them what their ideal age would be to get married. Their findings are presented below.
