Describe how you would draw and label a Normal distribution with mean of 100 and standard deviation of 15.

Answer #1

Solution:
Given in the question
Normal distribution mean ()= 100
Standard deviation() = 15
According to the empirical rule
we can say that 68% of the data values are between +/- standard deviation from the mean that means(100-15) = 85 to (100+15) = 115
we can say that 95% of the data values are between +/-2 standard deviation from the mean that means(100-2*15) = 70 to (100+2*15) = 130
we can say that 99.7% of the data values are between +/- 3 standard deviation from the mean that means(100-3*15) = 55 to (100+3*15) = 145
These can be drawn at the standard normal curve as follows

Draw the probability distribution curve and label all values Lightning Speed manufactures carbon fiber composite tubing for bicycles. This is a mature process and the population mean for their tubing’s strength is known to be 318 hundred pounds per square inch (k lbs) and the population standard deviation is known to be 20 k lbs. Use of the standard normal distribution table requires the sampling distribution of the mean to be normally distributed.   If the population is not known to...
