Weight and Pulse Rate

Show scatter plots and all details (correlation coefficient, label axis, etc.) Explain the relationship between variable of the plot using the correlation coefficient. Also show the linear equation and interpret the slope.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The correlation coefficient r = 0.082 which is a positive value which signifies that increase in weight increases the pulse rate. But here in this case the coefficient is close to zero we consider there is very much less correlation which means significantly there is no correlation.

The simple linear regression equation is

Y = 0.0503X + 67.659

Here the slope is 0.0503 which says that increase in 1 unit of weight increses the pulse rate by 0.05 units.
