Answer #1

Solution :

This is the left tailed test .

The null and alternative hypothesis is

H0 : p ≥ 0.50

Ha : p < 0.50

N = 400

= 0.52

P0 = 0.50

1 - P0 = 0.50

Test statistic = z

= - P0 / [P0 * (1 - P0 ) / n]

=0.52 -0.50 / [0.50(1-0.50) /400 ]

= 0.80

P(z > 0.80) = 1 - P(z < 0.80) =0.7881

P-value = 0.7881
