For the 30 students who took the​ test, the high score was​ 80, the median was​ 75, and the low score was 40.

Lowest = 40

Highest = 80

Median = 75

Median is defined as the value located at the centre of the data arranged in ascending order

From the above exmaple let us assume 30 numbers are arranged in ascending order from 40 to 80

Median is the mid point of 14 and 15 value

Let it be M

So if median is 75 there should be remaining 14 values that is the right part of the median from 75 to 80

Where the set of 14 values lie towards left side of median

So there is less possibility in arranging 14 values from 75 to 80

Therefor the statement does not make sense
