Answer #1

3 variables or measures that would probably follow a normal distribution in health sciences:

(1) Systolic Blood pressure for a healthy man is found to be Normal Distribution with mean = 140 mmHg with Standard Deviation = 5 mmHg.

(2) Pulse Pressure for a healthy man is found to be Normal Distribution with mean = 50 mmHg with Standard Deviation = 3 mmHg

(3) Weight of a healthy man is found to be Normal Distribution with mean = 180 Pounds with Standard Deviation = 3 Pounds

We believe they would follow a normal distribution because when everything normal, a healthy man on the average has Systolic Blood pressure of 140 mmHg. But, this value will slightly fluctuate between 5 mmHg if there is some pressure of work or mental tension etc. Similar argument holds for Pulse Rate.In the case of Weight, diet, exercise etc. play a major role in keeping it around 180 Pounds.
