any experiment will be binomial experiments if it follows the following properties

  1. number of trials must be fixed.
  2. probability of success in each trial must be fixed.
  3. trails must be independent of each other.
  4. there are only two possible outcomes success or failure.

these conditions are satisfied by given example so it is binomial experiment.
