I need $50,000 in donations. I send requests to three different philanthropists. Each one donates money at random and independently of the others. The expected value and SD of the amounts they give out are $25,000 with SD $2500 for the first source, $25,000 with SD $6000 for the second and $10000 with SD $3000 for the third. What is the expected value and SD of the amount of money I receive? What additional information is required to answer the question "what is the probability that I receive $50,000?"
