In 1995, 40% of adolescents stated they prayed daily. A researcher wants to know whether this percentage has risen since then. He surveys 50 adolescents and finds that 28 pray on a daily basis. Is this evidence that the proportion of adolescents who pray daily has increased at the ∝= 0.05 level of significance? Be sure to verify that the requirements that allow use of the normal model to test the hypothesis is satisfied.
