6. Devlin hypothesized that where you lived might influence whether you felt safe on a daily basis. She interviewed 30 city dwellers and 30 suburbanites. She asked each person whether or not they felt safe on a daily basis. She found that 10 of the city dwellers and 18 of the suburbanites reported feeling safe, and all the others felt unsafe.

7. Kang investigated how the personality trait of optimism versus pessimism influenced people's responses to major life stressors. She compared the stress responses of optimists and pessimists to job loss, major illness, and moving to a new state. Stress responses are rated on a scale from 1 (no stress) to 9 (extreme stress).

Because we know the distribution of the parameter PARAMETRIC TEST.

In the example second Delvin hypothesised that you felt safe or not on daily basis . As doesn't know the exact distribution of a given population so here not possible to use the Parametric test .so here we can use nonparametric test.
