Can we conclude that cardiovascular technicians exercises at least 60 minutes per week? Use α = 0.05 and assume normality.

Ha:   <  60

Step 2: test statistcis

n = 30

sample mean = 51.50

sample sd = 25.68

Assuming data is normally distributed and also as popuation sd is not given we will use t stat

t = -1.813

Step 3:

df = 29

alpha = 0.05

t critical for left tailed test = - 1.699

As the t stat falls in the rejection area, we reject the Null hypothesis.

Hence we have sufficient evidence to believe that cardiovascular technicians exercises do not excercise at least 60 minutes per week
