In this study the researchers could obtain a convenience sample by only collecting the data if the learner is traditional age or adult learner. If a random sample is used and if the learner is not a traditional age learner or adult learner then that sample would not contribute in the data. Hence use convenience sampling.

The students with the serial numbers selected constitute Simple Random Sample.

In order to obtain a sample that is representative of the intended population, the researchers should use the simple random sampling method because in a simple random sampling method because that way, every student has the same probability of getting into the sample.
