. For describing the conclusion of this output, do you use the line that corresponds to “Equal variances assumed” or the line that corresponds to “Equal variances not assumed”?   Explain why.   (2 points)

Answer #1

I think in the above discussion, we talk about assumption of multiple regression line.

In multiple linear regression line if we assume that all disturbanve term have constant variance then then obtained estimator is OLS estimator and estimator is Blue.

But when our assumption for disturbance term that is variance of this is noot constant but vary then we can not calculate OLS, and if we calculate then It is not BLUE. So we obtained generalised least square estimation and that estimator is BLUE.For obtaining GLS we used non singular any matrix.

Use JMP for most of this: The output voltage of a power supply is assumed to be normally distributed. 16 observations taken at random on voltage are as follows: 10.35, 9.30, 10.00, 9.96, 11.65, 12.00, 11.25, 9.58, 11.54, 9.95, 10.28, 8.37, 10.44, 9.25, 9.38, 10.85 Enter data in JMP. Do Analyze/Distributions in JMP, including Test Mean (use a t-test with a p-value), Test Std Deviation (use the ‘Min PValue’), CI, and a normal probability plot. Print output, and include with...

For part 1, you will NOT be writing anything in Python. You will be describing how the program will work using words and illustrations if it helps. Using a dictionary, make a text encrypter/decrypter. In decrypt mode, if the user inputs “Y r u l8?”, the program should output “Why are you late?”, for example. In encrypt mode, if the user inputs “See you later”, it should output “c u l8r”. Obviously you can’t handle every possible phrase, but add...

True or False? A) You do a hypothesis test on 2 means, if you reject H0 at the significance level of 10%, then you will reject H0 at the significance level of 5%. T or F? B) If the variances of 2 normal populations are unknown but assumed to be unequal, the appropriate statistic to compare the 2 means is the t of student (we assume here a small sample) . T or F? C) If the variances of 2...

a. Create a spreadsheet describing Amazon’s output and pricing choices with respect to the Kindle e-reader. (Use the template from Problem S1 with price equation: P = $294 – 35Q and MC = $126.) Use your spread- sheet optimizer to find the combination of output and price that max- imizes profit. b. Now include the extra net revenue from e-book sales, $100 per kindle. (Compute this total in cell C7 according to the formula: = 100*B7.) Finally, in cell H7,...

The atomic line spectrum of hydrogen contains a line in the near-UV spectrum that corresponds to an electron transitioning from an n = 7 orbital to an n = 2 orbital. What is the energy of the emitted photons that produce this line? I know the answer is 5.00 x 10^-19 J, I'm just unsure on how to go about solving it. Please give any equations used and where the numbers come from so I can try other problems on...
