The purpose of Significance tests is to quantify the evidence against a hypothesis being true. The method of inference used to support or reject the claims based on sample data is the test of significance. The test of significance starts with a Null Hypothesis H0. The Alternative Hypothesis HA is a statement of what a statistical hypothesis is set to establish. The conclusion is given in terms of null hypothesis. Hypotheses are stated in terms of population parameter, such as population mean .
