We have the data x1 = 33.8, x2 = 27.1, x3 = 36.6, x4 = 30.1 .

If we arrange them in order we can write, ordered data as 27.1, 30.1, 33.8, 36.6.

Now median is the middle observation. So if the weight of selected piece (5th one, x5) is any value between 30.1 and 33.8, the the weight of selected piece will be the median.

Hence all possible values of x5 such that x = sample median is (30.2,30.3,.....33.6,33.7) =() = interval
