The major difference between Probability and Non-Probability sampling is: Selection of subjects.

Explanation: In Probability sampling each individual of the population has an equal and fair chance to be a part of the sample. But in Non Probability sampling we don't know which individual shall be selected as the sample.

Thus the opportunity for selection of an individual as a sample in Probability sampling is specified and known but for a Non Probability sampling it is not specified and is not known.
