1. State the null hypothesis (in words)

2. State the research hypothesis (in words)

3. Find Fcritical (Step 3).

4. Calculate Fobtained using the intermediate results from ANOVA Table. (Hint: SPSS uses the same formula for calculation of F obtained as you have in the book).

5. Make Decision, Interpret Results (Step 5) and answer the problem’s question.

3. Fcritical = 2.61

4. Fobtained = 111.210/3/14582.8838/1733 = 4.41

5. Since 4.41 > 2.61, we can reject the null hypothesis.

Therefore, we can conclude that there are differences in the average number of the highest years of school completed between those who are very satisfied, moderately satisfied, a little dissatisfied and very dissatisfied with their job.
