Briefly describe two well-known best methodologies to IP models. Provide a brief comparison of those methodologies in terms efficiency in solving bigger instance of IP problems.

ANSWER::

There are basically two types of IP Models:

1. Pure Binary programming model
2. Mixed Binary programming model

Pure Binary Model:- It requires all decision variables to have integer solutions at the optimal solution.

Mixed Integer Programming model:- Some decision variables are constrained to be integer values at the optimal solution

In bigger instance IP problems, mixed integer programming models provide greater efficiency as compared to pure binary programming models because of higher no. of constraints in pure binary model. Hence efficiency differs.
