1. Higher level mathematics has applications in wide range of fields including Finance, Economics, Medicine etc. So someone who learns higher maths will be having this extra edge of getting employed in any of these applied maths area over the someone who just has basic math learning.

2. In general, higher level of maths gives one the ability of developing critical thinking ability at a much more advanced level compared to basic maths, and hence person with higher level maths will be able to reason out important decisions more efficiently in day to day life.
