Answer #1

a)
parameter of interest : proportion of U.S. citizens who have dated online and had an overall positive experience more than 0.5

b)
Test statistic,
z = (pcap - p)/sqrt(p*(1-p)/n)
z = (0.57 - 0.5)/sqrt(0.5*(1-0.5)/100)
z = 1.4

c)
Below are the null and alternative Hypothesis,
Null Hypothesis, H0: p = 0.5
Alternative Hypothesis, Ha: p > 0.5

P-value = 0.0808

e)
As P-value >= 0.05, fail to reject null hypothesis.

f)
There is no sufficient evidence to conclude that for U.S. citizens who have dated online, is the population proportion who had an overall positive experience more than 0.5
