Where should I look to find at least 3 variables that I believe have a linear relationship?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Example of linear relationship:

1. Height and weight of a person.

There is positive correlation between height and weight, because if height increases weight also increases.

2. Volume and pressure.

There is negative correlation between volume and pressure. Because if pressure increases volume decreases.

3. Income and expenditure.

Positive correlation. Because  income increases expenditure also increases.

4. Temperature and ice creame sold.

Positive correlation. If temperature increases ice creame sale also increases.

Find at least two examples of the relationship in business (or appropriate to you major) data and explain whether the relations there should be linear or non-linear. At least one of the examples must have more than one input variable. And if the relationship is nonlinear, explain the nature of the relationship (what is underlying reason for the relationship); and what shape of the regression curve may be the best fit. Illustrate your examples with scatter plots (if you use...

I believe that nurses and other workers in the medical field need to look professional and keep up their appearance. Your hair color should be kept to mostly natural colors but having a little personality show in your appearance is also important. I think the new policy should have been a little more relaxed and understanding to a persons appearance. My first impression if i saw a nurse with their thong sticking out, a lip ring, and a visible Molly...

Which of the following statements concerning the linear correlation coefficient are true? I: If the linear correlation coefficient for two variables is zero, then there is no relationship between the variables. II: If the slope of the regression line is negative, then the linear correlation coefficient less than one. III: The value of the linear correlation coefficient always lies between -1 and 1. IV: A linear correlation coefficient of 0.62 suggests a stronger linear relationship than a linear correlation coefficient...
