A) This statement is False. The frequency of people with diabetes does not give any information about the size of the population. It only counts the number of cases suffering from Diabetes. Whereas, the diabetes prevalence rate can be compared among different groups irrespective of the size of the population. The size of the population has already been adjusted for while calculating the diabetes prevalence rate.

B) This statement is TRUE. Under effective surveillance system, the emerging cases of any disease need to be reported rapidly just like the Coronavirus situation presently.
